Richard Boyd  – CEO

After working for Lansdowne Market Research in the early 90’s he joined the Tropical Medical Bureau in 1994. There he helped it to grow from 2 clinics to its current network of 22, pioneering a medical clinic franchise model. Much of the success was due to his involvement in the development of technologies and applications which underpinned the operations of the clinics and franchises.

Richard has used his long experience in travel medicine to direct the Inca Clinic product.

He acquired his technology skills during his time with TMB, specialising initially in Microsoft technologies starting with VB and later .NET. In 2009 he began working with Salesforce and the Force.com platform. In 2010 he founded Incaplex (previously 3Strata Technologies) building the core application on Salesforce, and becoming a Salesforce ISV partner in May 2010.

Sean Baker – Executive Chairman

Sean is an entrepreneur based in Dublin. He is a co-founder of IONA Technologies, and held many executive positions in the company including CTO, Chief Scientist and Senior Vice President of Customer Services.

He is Chairman of NDRC, a startup accelerator; and a member of the centre’s investment strategy committee. He was Chairman of the Irish Software Association from 2009 to 2011.  He is chair of the governance board of Lero, the Science Foundation Ireland software research centre; and of iC4, the Enterprise Ireland funded technology centre on cloud computing.  He was a member of the boards of IONA Technologies plc, Havok and Gridstore.

Sean is an Adjunct Professor and EiR at the UCD School of Computer Science and Informatics. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin, and held a tenured post in the Department of Computer Science at TCD, where he helped form the Distributed Systems Group in 1980.
